| i just got a universal harness for my baja pulled it through but now i have to connect everything. that should take awhile haha. id like to use some relays as you guys were talking about, how should i go about that? and would exactly should i put on a relay and what shouldnt i? |

| The whole purpose of a relay is to use low current to turn on a high current component.So, any thing you have that draws high current(offroadlights,headlights,) can be set up with a relay. you can put them on anything you want but what's the point of putting a relay a 5 amp draw?My Piia off road lights have the low wattage(85) white light bulbs in them and only draw around 15 amps combined.I didn't use a relay,just larger wire(16ga. not that 16 is huge but thats what the lights came wired with.)Over time it may wear out my switch like SHMO was refering to but it's alot less wiring to deal with than putting a relay on every bulb in the car. |

I actually found a baja with a full Painless kit already installed. What a stroke of luck!!
That Streetworks kit looks good though, I guess I'll keep this in mind when I redo my Thing..
