I am seeking advice on an exhaust system for my68 912 with euro heater boxes.
I am running Dellorto's (40's) and the OEM style muffler is gone. Would the Bursch BX1213 Euro muffler be a good match? Any other products that would be better.

umm...yeah, The Bursch is the best thing you'll get for the money.
If you look in Mid Americas catalogue you'll see they repro the stock exhaust.
The Bursche will rust relatively quickly, you could get it ceramic coated, it will last many years longer, but then you're up into the cost of TWO mufflers and could just replace it...its a black hole.
Nothing wrong with the Bursch, justmake sure you get the EURO version!
OR change your heater boxes to US style for future ease of upgrading.
