| The Vanagon is known as the 'brick ' in the UK and its definition is T25 which follows on from T2 (aircooled bays up to 79) and T1 the early split buses .T4 is the Eurovan . Vanagon is not a term used to describe the van in the UK . |

Rear engine van has always been the "type II" just with different generations. Eurovan is not a type IV as that referred to the 914/411/412. The type I was the beetle and ghia. Type III was the squareback/notchback/fastback/ghia (different ghia).
Type 25 probably refers to the VIN in some manner.
Eurovan may be a "type 4" but our lovely vanagons are as "new" as I get.

Not quite there . It's not referred to as' type '.As you correctly say rear engine vans are Type 2's . In the UK they refer to the US ' Vanagon ' as the 'T25' . There is no type . The split is referred to as a' T1 'and the Bay as the' T2' even though they are categorised as Type 2's . Apparently these designations came from VW UK . |

ahhh, but I do see alot of euro sites that designate T3 as vanagon. if your looking at their parts sections, T4 is eurovan, T2 is split/bay and T3 is vanagon (at least I've seen that alot)
of course before I started looking at Vanagon stuff, I always thought of T3 as fast/square/notch backs and T3 'ghias.... :-k
I'm sooo confoozeld ??!?!!? |

T# != Type #
Think of T#s as "generations" of Transporters. |
