The head lamps have 4 fuses. One for each low and high circut. It's probibly the fuse.
The brake warnng light should only come on when you have no pressure in the Master. And... when the e-brake is on. There's a small switch in the e-brake that usually falls apart. That's most likely the reason. |

Hey Glenn
Thanks for such a quick and helpful reply.
Do you think it is worth messing with that e-brake switch???
Also, if you don't mind, the warning buzzer comes on sometimes and most of the time not, any ideas??? I know the buzzer is supposed to buzz when the ignition is turned prior to starting the engine.
Is your phat chick your daily driver??? |

The brake light is not needed. Just don't drive with the e-brake on.
The buzzer is connected to the drivers door switch. The wire could be loose or the switch could be falling apart.
My 74 was my daily drive for 24 years, but it's been a weekend cars since i rebuilt it. |

I had lighting problems too. Sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't.
Check out all ground wires. Unplug them, clean them and they should work. If you have intermittent lights then it could be grounds.
I cleaned all wire spades, grounds and hot wires and it fixed it right up.
I don't know where you live but if it's a rust region, well, there you go.
A clean contact is a happy contact :D |

| It appears that all the fuses in the car are 16 amp (red), but I read in the Haynes book that a 73 and older takes 8 amp fuses. I bought some 8 amp today (white), but I am not sure if these are the right ones. How the heck do you get those fuses out??? I don't have a cover over the fuses, I guess that was lost some time ago. |
