| The seats are my next plan of attack on my bug. Its a 65 and I took a quick measurement from the side of the tunnel to the door sill and got roughly 19" Most suspension seats I see are 21-23" wide. I have a set of stock seats but think I want something better. Not sure I want to drop the big $$ for Beards etc.. Can anyone recommend seats from any other car? I have access to a huge junkyard and parts there are free for me. I have looked around when I have had time and saw some in a Probe that would look great but were cloth. Jeep seats look too big. |

| I run PRP seats.pretty comfortable Beard Knock offs, usually run about $150 each. If you have access to some free Honda crx or prelude seats they are very comfortably,however probably also cloth.Why are you opposed to cloth?just curious, most seats I see at least have cloth inserts,usually tweed,it's tough and cleans up nicely. |

| ditto on the beards/ knockoffs. I originally had some seats out of some junk car. P/O installed them. I hit the gas at a light and was suddenly staring at the ceiling. By the way my engine ain't that quick. I got some beards and it's like a new car. You'll feel solid "one with the car". In retrospect half of that feeling for me was probably due to not sitting on a modified milk crate anymore. |
