| What size does 7.00x15 convert to? I want a narrow tire up front with an off road tread pattern but want to pick it up a little in the front. Something closer to my rear tires. I think they are 30x9.50R15. Thanks |

A 7.00x15 is going to be very close to or maybe slightly taller than your current tire. It will also be noticeably narrower.
I would think with your current rear tire combination, a 235/75/15 front tire would be about ideal. It would also be a radial to match your rear tires making for better ride and handling from your car.

I have 235/85 on rear and 215/75 on front. 215 is about 27.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide, I just measured. Looks pretty good on my bug.
For my taste, the 235 on the front would be a little wide. Here's the math, all in mm. The way the metric tire sizes work is to take the second number, 75, as a percentage, and multiply that by the first number, 235.
0.75*235=176.25
This is the sidewall width, for one side (Tire is both above and below rim). So we doulbe that and get 352.5. We then divide that by 25.4, which is the number of mm in an inch. Which gives us 13.88. Then we add in the rim size (15), and get 28.88 inches.
Thought you might want to know. This tire would have a nice height to match those 30's on the rear though. But it's 9 inches wide.
