First, do you have the rims or are able to look in the back? If so, what is the front wheels' ET?(ex: ET35,) This would be your offset, then what tire do you plan on running. How low ( if dropping) are you going.

I have a '73 with 17x 7's with a 4" narrowed beem. No problems with the tie rods rubbin' but there is a flip kit for that. The rims are ET35 and tuck under the fender really nice with 215/40/17 tires.

If you still have questions let me know 'cause I have my front wheels off now for repair work( brakes and stuff).I could take some measurements for ya, let me know.

I don't have the rims, but I did call the company and asked a few questions. These are what they look like:

The guy said that I could have the rims made with a 4.25 backspacing or a 5.125. I was thinking that should narrow it 2 inches...but then I'm worried about turn radius. The car is bagged so going low is no problem. The issue i have is what is the distance from the face of the brake drum in the rear to the first item the rimmay hit when installed....same with the front. If I could keep the front fenders stock without sacrificing turning ability then I going for it...but if turning ability is compromised then I'm going with wider fenders.

If you get 5.25" in the front and 4.5" in the rear it will look perfect and you will not need to narrow anything or bolt on a set of wider fenders
