Has anyone insured a kit car or rail buggy? If so what company? :D

I'm getting liability insurance for street use through Progressive. I sent a picture and they gave me a quote...they're the only ones I've found that don't seem to care if it has an "Assembled Vehicle" title.

Grange Mutual Casualty Co. has insured mine in the past.
Gotta have another vehicle with them though.
Liability and medical was about $90 a year.

I have a rail trick.....

We have both our rail and buggy insured via a collector's company... insurance is much easier when you have a fleet... we're now down to $45/car for full-coverage.

State Farm wouldn't cover me because it was modified. So then I called about 30 other companies, most wouldn't cover me because I am younger then 25. Some played the modified game or said it was for off-road use and wouldn't cover it, I don't understand how Jeeps get insurance. Finally I got it through progressive for around $400 every 6 months, and that is less then 2500 miles a year.
