| I have always drove 67-72 chevy trucks(easy to work on, tough, reliable) and like the simplicity of 60's vehicles. But now I need a daily driver that gets more than 11 mpg. I'm considering buying a carbureted air cooled bug, but am not familiar with the model yrs. Are the super beetles carbureted? And does anyone recommend a particular yr? Thanks for any and all info. |

Nice summary of the differences between bugs and which ones are practical to own vs. valuable as investments:

| From my past experence I would stay away from a 75 bug. Had one and had problems with the brain box behind the rear seat. Good luck on your search. 8) |
