| I am wanting to build a set of 2x3 rear arms for my fiberglass buggy and need to know what the the demensions of the pivit bushings so I can buy the tubing. Does anyone know where I can get poly bushings that aren't red? I would prefer black, grey or blue. |

I forgot to add something.
I have heard of some manufactures put an angle to their trailing arms so the left and right sides are not interchargable? What is the purpose of this and what is the angle? |

| The arms I have aren't interchangable due to the shock mounts on the top. Stock IRS pivot bushings would be black if you dont like the colors. I'm not big on red either as I plan on my car being green. I figure after a little use they will be black anyhow so I am not really worried. |

If you decide to build you own trailing arms, pay MAJOR attention to keeping them true. As little as 2 degree of difference can equate to a substantial angle in regards to the tires leaning.

I had a set of home cooked arms (bought them) sucked enough that I recycled them instead of reselling.

this thread may explain why the arms need to be mounted on the correct side. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89892
good reading if you are thinking about building arms yourself anyway |
