okay i got the generator off, i got the fan off the generator and the only thing leftt is the backing part of the pully, i got the nut off but the pully will not come off.

How do you remove this off the generator shaft?

Any help will be appreciated.

to remove the back part of the gen. pulley, try spraying that baby down with WD-40 or something like that and do your best to break it free, tap it with a small hammer but be careful. Put the nut back on the gen. shaft so you don't wack the threads. Don't lose the shaft key. When you get it off put some grease on the gen. shaft before you but it back on. Good Luck

Two words .... Heat and Oil

Apply rust penetrator and put the butane torch to it. Keep on applying oil and heat until it says uncle.
