I picked up this little gem Saturday afternoon. It's a 1967 with a 1600DP single carb. The tub is really solid. Anyhoo I will be wearing out the search function and asking my share of stupid questions... 8)

| I am actually looking for a set of steel wagon wheels with mudding tires to replace these SS Cragers with Street tires. What do you have to trade? |

What's your Email Address... I have a set of 4 bolts... VERY low use... (10 miles)... can also throw in more stuff to sweeten the deal.
Mind telling the clan how much this set you back?

Send pics. I assume under the chevy adapters are 4 bolt hubs. It still has all wheel drums.
I paid $1,050 for the beetle w/ an extra hood and engine cover. Engine has a fresh top end, and the trans is a rebuilt unit. |

| Hammer, if it is running stock drums, they are 5 bolt. |

| They look like 5 bolts under there. I didn't have time to pull a tire and look. On a side note I found out that if the idle selinoid isn't hooked up that may cause your car to not idle...... I also put a SWEET tractor flapper on the stinger. No more baked bean can for me! :D |

I don't think that's a '67, as a '67 didn't have an external gas filler door.
Does it have IRS or Swingaxle tranny? |

| The title says its a '67. Any other clues? I know the '67 was a one year car but don't know what to look for.... |

Well, post some more pics if you can. Does the VIN# on the title match the VIN# on the tunnel? What is the VIN# on the tunnel? It could be a later body on a '67 pan, who knows?
Also, is it swingaxle or IRS? It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like it has 4-bolt drums instead of wide-5. If the drums are wide-5, you should be able to see the adapters and lugs in between the spokes of the Cragars.
Is the dash all metal? |

Looks like a 70s shell to me... whatt about the vins... are the door front dash and/or tunnel numbers matching your title?
I'm waiting to get the promised rim pix back...

if it were stock I could give you the rundown on a few things to identify the year, but since my ol' 67 is the only one i ever looked much up on, i cant help ya...
One thing also- it looks like that panel is primered. Maybe somebody wanted an external filler & replaced that panel? |

Well the Vin on the pan matches the title. If anyone wants to decode the vin# it is: 117384848
Seems at best to be a '67 pan with a later body? |

| Confirmed! A guy over at the Pelican 911 tech BBS decoded the VIN and it is a '67. With a later body appearantly. |

| are there any VINs on the body? inside, beneath the lower drivers side corner of the windshield, drivers side door jamb, or in the trunk? |
|

|
| I couldn't find any on the body. I will look closer today. I looked in all the places you mentioned. Where would the "exact" location be in the trunk? |
