...and it came with a freshly rebuilt transmission. I also bought a '72 Bug to get the engine for the rail. My question is about the transmission. I'm trying to decipher the year model, so I can determine what final gear ration it uses. The #'s on it are:

47
113.301.103
H

AH 452 5124

Can anyone help me out with this? Or better yet, point me to a website with the info for future references?

Thanks!

Thanks! I was hoping for the 4.375 gears, but I'm still happy it's not the freeway flyer 3.875 gears!

Chances are the Book is correct but the only way to know is to turn the main shaft and count. www.vwhelp.com
