| The glass on my 47 has the large Sekurit logo. But it is symetrical, meaning they are both the same. When installed on the car, one of the windows will read backwards. |

I believe sometime in 49 they went from the sekurit glass to the blank glass.

| So do you guys think 50 to early 53 have no logo in the rear glass. The last 3 splits i have done are 50 to 52 and had no logo in the rear glass. Thanks for the input. |

All the split's that I've owned had the SEKURIT logo on them :? The pair I have for my 43 have SEKURIT on them and YES !!! they are a left and a right so the SEKURIT LOGO is on the top left corner on one and the other one is on the top right corner :D I'll take a picture and post it right now
Here ya go :D

Whooah, that's a new one to me. The guy I got my car from said VW never made asymetrical glass with logos. Oh well, when Pre 48 cars were made, the Bristish weren't too concerned about having all cars symetrical anyway. They just used what was available so I'll stick to my symetrical logo's rear glass. |

These are what came with my 43 :) Whether or not they are original for that year I honestly couldn't say. BUt I've had Sekurit marked on ALL my glass on my split's from 46 on up  But that isn't saying much maybe I was just lucky :D Most of those split's were just parts/donor car's 8) rusted to hell that I picked up for next to nothing on my road trips I used to take. It's been awhile but I'm getting back into the search and destroy mode looking for stuff again. |

Sounds like my car. I was thinking of parting it out. Need any parts off of it before I take a sawsall to it? |

| I got one piece of OG Sekurit, and one piece made from the glass shop....if it was ME, I'd make sure I had both logo'd up and the front windshield, otherwise you might as well wear some fake swap meet Louie while your at it. |

| It seem's like a majority of the rear glass that had logo's was from 49 down and the rear glass without logo's came on late 49 and up :?: makes sense since isn't that when VW made changes to the split (DLX model's)like chrome bumper's, trim, window cranks etc...... so more $$ spent on chrome less money/time spent on engraving/bead blasting :D just taking a shot in the dark here but makes sense to me.  |
