Weinerwagen, where are the areas to camp in the westy in yosemite??

Near the FALLS. Up close to the Village is really neat. Down in the Valley of Yosemite You can---- go higher up on 120 east of the main village for remote camping, up about 7,000 feet, watch for bears they like to raid your campsites and they are very very bold!!! but 120 is still snowed in to 395...maybe in a few weeks the snow will melt so they can get the road open from Lee Vining area. For a true breath taking experience, go south on Hiway 1 from Carmel to Big Sur, find a spot and camp. Overlooking the ocean...you will be convinced there is a GOD!
:D

I just went from Bosie Id to Montana up 95 to Grangeville, ID up 12 to I-90

If that is not the most beautiful country. That white water river is flowing...
no cell service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah baby was cut off from society for a week!

Just came out of yosemite less than a week ago. There for two weeks. all the campsites are full and reserved for the next several months, but you can get a site still if you show up before 7, get on their cancellation list. It's kinda nice up there right now..........

Yeah the touristas' have all the good sites reserved months in advance. A practice that I personally think sucks, they should be first come first served.

Higher up the hill going to the top of Tioga you might be able to get a site.

Ticketmaster seems to be the only way to guarantee a camping spot...but, if we had known, we own property right up the road on 49 in the Gold Country near Columbia State Park, we have an area that frequently gets motor homes and travel trailers parked....Westies get the choice spot...
