So here i am, pondering over the vast number of colors to put on a bug. Has anybody seen one in john deere green? Maybe with yellow spoked wheels & a tractor flapper on the stinger? If anybody's got pics or opinions let me see/hear em!

I have seen the JD green variation on a bunch of stuff. The trick is, you HAVE to run actual John deer decals on it. Or, you just come off looking like some yoke that has no taste in color.

"We wanna paint 'er JD green 'cause we had some leftover in the paintgun from paintin' the tractor..."
I say go for it - it's up to the individual's preference... of course, you could end up finding yourself to be quite 'individual', as others may not associate w/ you & your JD buggy #-o

:? well... my girl hated the idea. I asked her and she gave me that stare all us guys hate... "my boyfriend is an idiot"* It was then I realized that JD green wouldn't be my bajas color. But thats arite, thers many other colors out there & I wasn't really decided on that one.
*I've seen this many times before, granted sometimes the word boyfriend is replaced with 'son' or ' friend' or 'brother' or 'uncle' or... well, you get the idea. |

| Since this topic has been revived...I'll ask an obvious question that comes to mind.....isn't the bug in your avatar photo JD Green? It looks about the same color as my JD Tractor. You can see from the avatar photo that it looks...ah...ah...great..on a bug. |

| Actually, i'd say thats closer to lime. JD is alot darker. But the John Deere decals might bee good on it. |

| JD has had sevral diff shades of green. I have a meyers towd. I met another that had just gotten one, I got it running for him. a few months later he called to ask if I wanted to buy it. He'd sell for a $1000. I about sh$$. This body was metalflake red it pretty fair shape, all there, fenders ,engine cover, bumpers, ect. So I jump and drive to his place (1 1/2 hr drive) He says ya I fixed it all up, I even painted it (WHAT ? ). It's around baack. He painted the damn thing this ugly ass john deere green. I told no deal you ruined the car. No way to get all that paint off with out screwing up the gel coat. |
