Here's a few pics...had a great time, should have taken more pictures but I was having too much fun!

The red, white, and blue one is local to me...

I've rethought the fiberglass buggy body, gonna keep her steel. I'll post pics of the progress when it happens.

Randy, I was just looking at you're other posted pictures....

I think You're white Baja is one a good friend of mine sold to a guy in Sisters.... If it has a "Thing" Type 181 frontend / spindles... That is it.

Hey Joe, I think this may be the one! What can you tell me about it...it appears it has gone through a few stages of modifications...gas tank in the back, now in the front, 5 points in the back but not up front, tube bumpers cut off, ect. Also appears to have a rebuilt motor... Anything you could tell me would be appreciated!!!

I don't know how Mike placed, we ended up leaving at about 3:00 to head home-

Where's your shop? I'm about to go through the 1800 in my 74 Bus-

Welll.... He He

My best friend towed that out here, and was side-swiped by a guy in a 5.0 litre mustang on the Santiam pass....

I guess he and his girlfriend were arguing... and she grabbed the wheel.

His New Dodge truck was Toasted... The Baja was on a tow bar.... and didn't get damaged even though it jack-knifed on a bug tow bar.

We proceeded to Baja the thing at "the crotch" between Sisters and Redmond (the Canyon).

We came across a Deschutes County Cop that had ripped the muffler off his car in the Baja roads....He was under the thing when we stopped to help... We revved the motor... he bumped his head on the chassis... Pretty funny.

Anyway... He sold it to some guy who was a tight-wad.... He owns an Ice cream shop somewhere in Sisters....

The guy called me asking how much to fix reverse,(popped out of reverse) but never called back.

Pretty much a stock drivetrain.... A nice little Bug. I almost got it myself.

I saw some fairly decent-looking Blonde driving it on the by-pass in Bend a couple of Months ago.... She looked like she was a little racer....I was up for it..

She probably rolled it.

You can call me if you want.... 923-5889

My shop is in Lone Pine... on a 50 acre Farm (back side of Smith Rock State Park) we sell Arabian Racing horses Too.

Custom Machine work.... Custom Motors....Shuffle-pinned Engine Cases.... Type 5 Conversions.... Not Cheap

Wow!

That 3 colored rig is bad. I'm in the process (working on pan now) of building a baja that will look something like that one. I'd love to look it over in person if you could hook me up.

I'm in Creswell, just south of Eugene, so Sisters isn't that far.

Don't know if the guys wants strangers calling to look at his car, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks,

Shep
