We have a stretched 6" front end, 6" over beam, 2 x 4 arms (I could be wrong on these arms), and lift spindles from Tweeds. Also running 12" fox coil-overs, with 250 / 200 springs and 7/8" shaft. Do you think we will need bumpstops? It will be for playing around in the dunes. Wont be looking ot jump it 5 ft. in the air. Do you think we will have the need for stops? What will it take for these thing to bottom out? Opinions? Thanks for any info.
Here are a few pictures of the car in progress.

Very cool car your building there. I look forward to seeing more progress pics. I have a question though. Are you sure that is a 6-inch stretch on the beam?
Personally, I would run bumpstops on that setup. Depending on the shock mount location, I would possibly run limiters as well.

| Thank you for the compliments. Yes it is 6", it might be slightly under. We will definetely be running limiters, so maybe then we will look into a bumpstop. I know the shock will move alot, but was unclear as to how much, and what it would take to make it come up far enough for the tire or anything to hit. Does tweeds sell a bumstop kit? |

I was guessing from the pic it looks like your beam was moved forward about 3 or 4-inches. I was just wondering.
As for the bumpstops, they are going to be more critical than your limit straps. There are several ways to go about doing your stops. Do some searching around in the gallery for ideas. With your beam and shock tower setup, you are probably looking at custom building a setup. Or, there is always the pin and link setup that is very comonly used. Personally, I would go with a decent stop with a Urethane bump on it.

| limit straps are also going to be pretty critical as far as stopping short of bending your tie rods on the framework |
