I have been reading these threads for a couple of months now, and a lot of you have the same problems that I have. :x A lack of good vanagon mechanics!! Maybe a national or reginal list of exceptional mechanics would be a good idea. :D Let me hear your thoughts on this!!

A better question is who has shop experience. Me for one. Bevsons in denver, my sold busses(18),time in portland Or. Most guys move around too much. Many shops now are run (in my opinion) by grumpy old bastards, hard to get any info from them.

:D That's a cool site, I have worked for three of the shops listed in the berkley CA area. I am glad to know that someone out there has compiled a good list like that.. I would suggest that evryone going on a trip print up the pages that are pertinant to where they are going so they have a refference... :twisted: :twisted:

hey guys That is an ok site I noticed my shop listed and had some good comments and one bad which shows that you cant please them all i think the best thing is www.type2.com go to the AIRS list later Mark Dearing

:D That is GREAT.... I think I will sign myself up as a contact... It is great to be able to help someone who needs it. Maybe it will be a carmic recharge for all those times my '55 bug broke down and someone helped me to get home.....
