I'm restoring a '63 sedan but it will not be bone stock (1600 engine, carb(s), and exhaust) I'm trying to figure out what "look" I'm "looking for" Would somebody give me the specs on just what are the differences between the "Cal look" and the "German look" and the " Euro look" I've got some ideas but I'm just not sure. I really don't want a hybrid look (except for the engine)

Here are some basic guidelines-
Cal-Look: Removing all chrome trim & bumpers. Lowered front ends with large capacity motor.
German-Look: Type IV powerplant, large disc brakes & 17" Alloy wheels. Lowered 2-3" all around
Euro-Look: Semaphores, Euro-style bumpers, Amber/Red taillight lenses
But don't forget the latest craze, Resto-Cal. Basically keeping the bodywork of your car completely stock and usually an original color. Lowered front & back with lots of period accessories |
