Unfortunately It looks like the Northern VW Nationals now has competition on the same date August 25th, 2007 in Ohio. Without the support of the US racers this show does not have the grounds for being a success. Being that the Ohio show is a three day event, it makes no sense trying to compete. I have decided to cancel this event after 10 years of its existence. Sorry John Spironello. |

In the past few years, the aircooled scene in Southern Ontario has really taken a turn for the worst. Thanks for your efforts towards promoting the hobby. |

It is unfortunate that another race day is Ontario has died. I guess the last one.
BUT WAIT! Bring your air or water cooled VW to Toronto Motorsports Park on June 23 for test'n'tune. All you pay is gate admission, all the VWs will run together on the drag strip. It is just a fun day at the track with hopefully door prizes to be given out as well as cash prizes for low ET air and watercooled, highest MPH, best reaction time. Bring your car and see what she can do. There may even be guest appearances from some pretty quick street legal VWs.
More info to follow as details are confirmed. |

For you northern Ontarians--here is a pic my Dad took while Moose hunting around Kapuskasing or Shinning tree around 1970. No moose were hurt in the making of this picture.
This couple were carrying their bug aroun in a dumptruck-can't remember why.
Notice the Kapuskasing dinner jacket!! |

There was a good turnout at John's yesterday! It was good to see that many people out. The split on the trailer sure had my interest...
Did anyone buy it? |

| I'm from Montreal and own a European '55 Bug with hearts and semaphores. I hope to get it back on the road one of these days. I bought it from a guy in Alberta about 10yrs ago and haven't done much to it since then. |

| Good-day......... New here but seeing as there was no one from Nova Scotia in the thread I thought I'd join and say Hello. I have a 73 standard bought it off The Samba site (came from Toronto who brought it in from the US) solid car. Had another 73 standard 20 years back chopped it and installed a BGW kit. Last I saw of that one it was rotting in a VW yard just outside of Bellville Ont. shame that. Cheers! |
