Well I'm building a 14 in. travel glass buggy and I do love women...

So I guess that would make me a male lesbian :?:

I will agree the "elephant ear" front fenders not only don't look right,
they've got to do a good job of screwing up your visibility.

BTW my other car is a 70 vert baja

Alright ... you foiled me.

I was in Lynden, Washington at the Blue Car Backdoor Parking School when one of my co-horts snapped the shot.

After all I'm a lesbian to the core -- I'm OK with the protected classes.

Remember Minneapolis is the city of "brotherly love" right behind SanFran. per capita.

Those DeJong cars are bad ass! I agree, the fenders are quite large, but What would your fenders look like to clear 20+" of wheel travel?
If you call them gay, then you need to really re-evaluate your "flames".

ellobo Tue Aug 02, 2005 4:19 pm

I kinda like the fenders that go up like that...

Ouch :!: Thats gotta hurt, eh

SHMO Tue Aug 02, 2005 4:44 pm

Turbofart, I actually said this about the Dejong car.

SHMO wrote: this one is pretty farkin cool in all reallity. I think if a guy could hacksaw off those elephant ear fenders, or at least trim them down a foot or two, it would be a bitchen ride. It has the LS1, longtravel and everything.

For you to slam my flame job is verging on sacrilege. How dare you!..haha

As far as your post Ellobo, well.... your Photoshop skills have left me speechless....haha...nice use of the rainbow art.....lol

Man, you fiberglass guys are touchy.

When your car is not biodegradeable, we're stuck with our plastic roller skates.... yes we're touchy.

Ever do 100mph in a tackle box???? You'd get edgy also....

LOL. If you had read more on the De Jong site, you would know that the fiberglass bodies are removable, making a dual-look car. The bodies were originally made by FRP(where I bought my body) but now they are made in Mexico supposedly.
Dont worry about what we think of the flames SHMO, once the sun hits those stickers for a few years, they will come off on their own. :D

SHMO Wed Aug 03, 2005 12:34 pm

Hahaha Stickers. :x

pretty funny stuff coming from a guy with a big fiberglass flower pot sitting in his yard. Hey that just gave me an idea. Have you ever considered filling that thing up with water and using it as a swimming pool for the kids? It might be something to think about with this hot summer heat. You should even be able to use some other parts, maybe a long a travel diving board or an off road tire slide? Hey, do the seat cushions on those dune buggies float? Those dune buggy things might have more uses than I realized. Maybe they are cool.
