So we held our second event at Gateway Intenational on August 7, 2005.

What a fun HOT day. There are so many great stories from the day but I wanna share just one:

The Schollman Family ( http://schollmanracing.tripod.com/ )

The whole family was in the act, they had two to show and two more to go.

What I love about this story is that racing as a family is what this family does. Forget Mom had clutch trouble and that Darla Had trouble with the light in the final round, for me this is what events are supposed to be, the family, everyone having fun for the sake of fun.

Chuck Fryer was out there with his dad and even though Chuck had a little tranny trouble you never would have known it because the two of them where having a ball just being together.

I know a certain percentage of folks show up to these events for the bikini contests and stereo contests and jello wrestling but at the VolksBash events we don't have thoses things we have Fathers and sons, Mothers and daughters having a good time together.

Our 2nd event wasn't as HUGE as we expected but to be a part of it was worth it all. To see first time winners and car widows was awesome, but to see families laughing and having fun was awesome. I hope to continue seeing this trend at our next event and even more next season, Thank you Schollman family I can't wait to introduce you to my family at our Indy event.
