Hello,
I have a question about the positioning of ads in the classifieds section.
I've noticed that when some people edit their ads they seem to come to the top of that section again just as though is was a new ad? When I edit any ad I have placed, it stays where it's currently at in the list.
As a new user and ad placer...am I doing something wrong or are they tricking the system somehow (I'd like to know the 'trick') to get the ad to move?

Ads are available for "renewal" after a certain number of days. I think Everett set it at 15 or 20. There used to be a time when people abused the system and renewed their ads every couple of days to keep their stuff at the top of the list.
When you manage your ads, you'll see a note that says it's available for renewal. Just go into the ad like you are going to edit it and just hit the 'Edit' button. Tee new date will be stamped on the ad and it will be postitioned at the top of the list. |
