I know hardly anything about vw buses... except that they are my dream car. WHen I am looking to buy one I would like a liquid-cooled engine but do those type of engines show up in the older body styles? like the 70's camper vans particularly..

If you are partial to the older styling you might want to look into a Mexican van. They still retain most of the characteristics of the old buses but with a more modern drivetrain. I dont know what the technicalities would be for making it legal stateside though.

i wouldn't even know where to start looking for a mexican van... do you know where any classifieds are that might contain them? |

I would venture a guess and say it would be easier to find a bay window that has had an engine conversion. Why is it a necessity to have watercooled engine?

just my own opinion...but id rather have a good cleaning aircooled anyday...not a damn thing wrong with them and the run cool in summer and dont freeze in the winter..."has driven busses throught the desert many times without coolant boiling over 8) "
