If yo look in the right places you can get the whitewall tires you want to be able to go low. I did and when i get it all done I'll post pics.[/quote]
I consider bias ply's to be real whitewalls. I did find some 5.00x15's the other day, but they were too old for use |

I'd like those on a '66 GTO. Pretty close but little small for a muscle car. The rears would work though. They're off the shelf BF Goodrich redlines 205/65/15. |

| My understanding is that these only work on bias ply tires. Has anyone successfully used them on radials? Any advice about this? Thanks! |

I've always used them on radials. No problems whatsoever.

Judging by the photo of your (?) VW, I can't tell if you're joking or not LOL.. :-k
I read horror stories of them heating up & shredding radial tires, or not sitting properly on the tire, as the tire sidewalls are too stiff. Please tell me more, thanks!! |

Yup, thats mine. Wasnt joking.
I've run them since Christmas 08'. And the car is a daily driver.
No problems at all. Just install them right, and you wont have any trouble. |

Do you think it's a good idea to put silicone caulk around the tire rim to secure the portawall?
I do know they need to be installed dry.
Thanks for all the advice! |

Has anyone purchased the redline inserts from this person?

If so, are using radials? How are they working out? Thanks in advance. |

I'm not sure if they are the same person, since I bought mine on eBay..but mine did come from Greece.
They are ATLAS brand.
They are fantastic! They didnt wrinkle at all, and are made from a much better feeling rubber than the ones on my 63 (pictured above) |

I just got my potrawalls on my wheels. They look great. But the guy who mounted the tires got them really dirty. How can I get then nice and white again? I tried some degreaser but that just spread more dirt around.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to clean them?
Thanks......... |
