Hi,
Can anyone tell me the internal diameter of the early (1965) T3 Master Cylinder? Also, are any of the Beetle MC's compatible?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Its eithor a 19 or 20 mm. I dont have my parts book to be sure but they both work and fit the same. Unless you need a rebuild kit for one you have? Then the size is cast ontop of it. |

In '65, Squarebacks were 20 mm and everything else was 19 mm.
Beetle master cylinders don't work because the metal line connections are on the opposite side. |

My early 65 square has a 19MM. Some 65's have "reinforced brakes". Thats when they changed from 20 to 19.

There is a difference in the stroke between 36 and the rest. |
