Feel free to disregard this, but I had a thought -- since Type 181s, Kubelwagens, Schwimmwagens, Itlises, and the like all share a common history and purpose (being general-purpose military vehicles), why not organize a forum around them as a group?
Discussion about Things frequently involves these other vehicles as it is, and there have been questions as to where the "other" vehicles belong. I personally dislike seeing Schwimmwagens lumped in with the watercoolers...
So I propose the Type 181/Ex-Military Vehicles Forum.
What do you think?

| kubels and schwimmers have more in common with split window beetles and barndoor busses than with 181s and iltises |

I think those people actually use the Split-Window Beetle Forum more due to age of their vehicles.
There may be a change coming to the Split/Oval Forum that would make them fit better in that area. |

Sounds fair. While Kubels and Schwimms are definitely of the Split era, it seemed to me that there was more discussion/interest overlap in the Thing area. I could be wrong -- I am new here after all...
Are Splitsville and Ovalburg separating, Ev? :shock:
