| Like the red in this pic. You could use a piece of angle iron, and bolt it to the 2 main body to pan bolts on each side. |

| thats what i had planned. i measured today, and it should have a wheelbase of about 102-104". that seems really long considering stock is like 95. i think im gonna remeasure tomorrow. i mounted up some OG 5 lug wheels. one of the tires is a Desert Dueler, looks about 40 years old. cant decide whether to run adapters, or the 5 lugs. it doesnt look like tire shops around here can balance the five lug. anyone know of some fairly heavy duty adapters? my buddy has some on his buggy, they are like 3/8 plate. doesnt know where they are from though. |

| I tried that, their spindle is to big, to fit through the shaft hole, you can try though maybe there's is different. |

| There is an wheel adapter for the wide 5 on balancers. My neighbor has one for his Snap On machine. Check some other tire shops. |

thanks herbie, you were one of them...
i remeasured the wheelbase, center to center is 101". still fairly long. but thats about where i planned on it being. i think im just gonna run adapters, the five lug wheels i have are UGLY. and they need tires. with the adapters, do they just use stock wheel bolts to bolt them to the drums? i had to buy four of them just to get the wheels bolted on to move it out of the shop, 4 dollars a piece at my local carquest- the only guy open on pres. day. |

| they are just some big pipe with big washers welded on where the strut bolts on, and where it bolts to the strut tower. not very complicated. |

i also found out i need a new drivers side spindle. i was gonna pull them apart and figure out why the brakes were binding. i pulled of the dust cap and found this
looks like some moron stripped it, then got the great idea to just weld the nut on... idiot.. |

got a little more work dont this weekend. shock towers are in, and i braced the beam some more
i will end up with 9"-9 1/2" of travel once bump stops and limit straps are in
wish i could have gotten more done. the shocks took forever to get setup right, kinda wish i would have gone with 12"s. also took way to long to do brakes and wheel bearings. oh well. now i need to make a steering shaft, bump stop mounts, and limit strap mounts. im gonna use the stock lower shock mount on the arm for the strap. |

got fuel lines done, check out the AN fittings, and shiny fuel filter.
how do you guys like the stance? the rear still needs to come up a bit. but i need new cvs for that
heres why i need to have tubing bent for the rad
i also need to figure out what to do with that opening. i was thinking billet(i have a bent up billet grille from a super duty) |
