Well Just got my 1952 Crash Box Tranny in From Francisco, It looks Great!. I need to put the axles back in the tranny (had to be taken out for shipping), does anyone have any step by step instructions?
Thanks

Well, the case will need to be split. There are no "side covers" to allow access to the diff. The differential is assembled with the axles. The diff goes into the case. Then the case halves are bolted up.
I am really simplifing this, but that is the basic process.
PM if you want more details.

| It's a good time to check the diff housing, to see if a crack has formed where the spider gear crosshaft anchor pin is peened. This is extremely common, and can lead to the diff coming unglued, destroying the mainshaft and the entire transmission. Replace the peened style pin with the late model IRS expansion-style pin. |
