I would guess around 90. Doesn't sound like much but it will move a vw quite a bit faster. |

I'm no expert bu I guess 70hp or there about at the wheels. -Depending on c/r.
*my street 2165cc, 7.1:1 c/r (built to last many miles) w/48 idf's has 90hp. |

I got 83 hp and 101 torque to the wheels on my type 4 in my type 3.
I go to UTI in ca and its a 2056 type 4 with stock F.I. from a 1980 vanagon.I would say around 80 hp to the wheels with that combo and 8.1.1 c/r.I had the same combo in my bug but had 40 dcnf's and it moved pretty good but not the torque like my type 4 ! |

A good distributor/igniction with vacume advance will gain you extra power.
Using a shitty 009 will loose power and make the engine run hotter than it could. |

311-905-205 AB. One of the best distributors for VW that Bosch ever built. It is for the early T-3 FI engines. Just ignore the trigger points on a carbed engine.
Has a goo mechanical curve for performance, and a good vacuum curve for economy and cool running engine. |
