They go on a convertible. I have a set of Hella mirrors. They fit around the vent frame and you can open and close the door, no Duke boy action!

That should be clipped on the door edge where the rubber is holded by.
So you can open the door and the mirror stay in place. I wil look for a pict if I can find one.

| The mirror that he has a U shaped bracket. The mirror that clamps on to the door frame of a sedan has a J shaped bracket. Its the same mirror just a different bracket. The U bracket is just wide enough to fit over the vent frame of a vert. You could not use this bracket on a hard top beetle. |

| you can probably make the bracket but it's small or look for a mirror that is in bad shape and steal the bracket from that one. |

Paul,
you should just give up on the idea of the clip on mirror. Get some Albert swan necks. Or better yet, buy the Talbots from me and go the hinge pin route 8) . |
