I took a few pictures after installing wheels/tires this week. Finally I don't get any rubbing and the handling is better than the stock 16". Its still a little more bouncy than my Ghia but it handles worlds better than the stock wheels. Plus I get no rubbing with a lowered non shortened front running 175/15". The tires are at least another 2" shorter than the stock ones so my speedo is off by about 10mph.

I think the angle of the pic makes the horn grill look sideways. What do you think sans the overriders or not. I am thinking I will save the money and leave them off. Seems cleaner without them.

Overriders were not used until late 52. |

| I used that term because he did. I like the guards. Overriders, pffft! And if it's a custom, anything goes. |

I think I will paint the inserts Ruby red this winter and polish the Porsche Drum centers now that you can see them behind the wheel. Maybe throw on a pair of Albert swan necks to complete the look. I kind of like the front wheels pushed out to the fender edge, as long as they don't rub. Plus, if you make the the beam shorter the front suspension will be stiffer. I find it is already a little too stiff and bouncy now. I need to play with the air tire pressures a little. Would changing the leaf springs for later oval era give a smoother ride?

| 3inch narrowed adjustible beam 2in dropped spindles and 135 front tires. you will get the perfect look and get a great ride. but the albert, the porsche drums and the painted bumper inserts sounds right on. |

The "Perfect" look to some, however I would personally prefer it as is. Different opinions for different people is all. |
