The engine harness is ready to plug in. Having the right type of crimpers for the style of terminals I got made these a snap to install. I still need to do a major clean up on the motor before it goes in, so I think that will happen tomorrow after work.

Just got back from the initial testing. Several trips around the block, finally chased down the small coolant leak and now all systems are sealed and working fine. The clutch needed absolutely no adjustment from where I installed it. :D The shifter took a bit of monkeying with though. It's working okay at the moment, but I think I will still replace this Empi trigger shifter. I took it on the freeway for ten minutes and it cruised just fine. I can already tell I like the new 1st and 2nd gear ratios... 1st is closer to second now. The new trans is performing as expected so far. Everything will have a close eye on it for the next two weeks. She has now been upgraded to daily driver until the Night Run!

Triple checked my list of don't forgets!
I finished putting on all of the accessories - hi lift jack, fire extinguisher, spare tire, etc. It hums down the freeway at 80 mph quite nicely!

| give me some help here friend... looking at the pic, stinger? I dont know anything about this, is this a diy ecu, or... looking at megasquirt for mine but no customer support it seems.... did you map it yourself? I hadn't heard of stinger, or is that just a cover? Megasquirt is the first company I've heard of that sells a build it yourself ecu with a radioshack hobbybox kit (or so it seems?) can you tell me anymore about the ecu your using? |

Its what outfront motorsports sells with their subi's. Cost-wise it is not very comparable to MS. |

| The ECU is from a company named EMS. It is a Stinger model. It came with the turnkey engine package from Outfront Motorsports. Prewired, only twelve to hook up with detailed instructions. It was clearly the easiest part of the wiring in the car. Adapting the Painless harness to this car was not near as easy since the harness was set up originally for a Dodge/Ford/Chevy pick up. After I first got the car drivable, Outfront offered turnkey engine purchasers a half off dyno tune session. We squeeked another 8 hp out of it with that session. Outfront Motorsports continues to have excellent customer service even after several years of the engine purchase. Mac and John are stand up guys in this sport for sure. |

I haven;t been in here for a while! (coughing as the dust billows off the thread...)
It is almost all one color now. I still need to paint the windshield frame, and the gray will be done. Graphics of some sort is in the planning stages.
