He's had that for sale here in the classifieds for quite a while now. They show up on German ebay all the time. |

I'm not sure it is a VW product. I see them on German ebay advertised for all German WWII vehicles, so I suspect it was something the German Army slapped on any vehicle that was headed to the Russian Front. |

| During the war, the quality of the regular petrol was not good - and sometimes you have to fill different stuff into the tank. This is the reason why most of the Wehrmacht-vehicles had this "Anlasskraftstoffkansiter" which means starter-petrol-tank. They were also produced after the war in the early years. |
