| Well it just keeps getting better. I did a post a few months ago about their customer service and got no reply from them. Yesterday my wife and I decided to assemble the doors on our 1969 Single Cab and I opened up the door kit I got from J-Bugs and we proceeded to assemble the driver's door. The merchandise was inspected when received and there was no damage done to any of the parts. The outer scrapers were in plastic bags and had tags on them with the OE part number. Also the tags say MATTE FINISH. The drivers outer scraper is MATTE finish and it looks good after we installed it. Now we move to the passenger's door. I open the outer scraper bag and it's CHROME. I sent them an e-mail and we will see how they handle this mess. I am still quite pissed that I took the truck and had a headliner installed after I canceled the one I ordered from them and they were told to cancel the headliner only to have it show up after i paid someone to make and install one. I will post up after I hear back from them. |

| I must admit that I was figuring I would get an attitude when I called them yesterday. I was WRONG, that's right, WRONG. The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful and straightened out the problem with out any hesitation. I am going to give them the order for my seat pads and upholstery today. |

| Ordered a complete interior kit as well as tons of odds and ends from them. Came within a week in perfect condition and nothing missing. Their interior restoration DVD is very helpful too. |

Ordered a bunch of interior parts from them recently. Most of it was in stock and shipped quickly, and they called after I placed the order to confirm the delivery address and the special order seat covers.
The rest of the stuff, Seat covers and visors, came from TMI a few days ago. The seat covers were incorrect, but were actually a more expensive version and I was willing to send them back but Jbugs decided to eat it for the error. I can't ask for better service than that, but I'm glad the mistake was in my favor! |

| Ive actually bought quite a bit from them and never had an issue. Now CiP is a different story. Majority of my stuff comes from WW or Midwest. |

| Yeah I know I said that I was happy with the way my outer door scraper was handled. Well here it is almost 4 weeks later and I still have no right side outer scraper. Evey time I call I get the same story, it's on back order. Meanwhile my pretty Shop truck is sitting with no windows in the passenger's door. Asked to have the Manager call me, and no return call. They say they have the left scraper in chrome finish in stock and can ship me out both left and right. The problem is the MATTE finish is better quality than the CHROME one I got in my kit. What to do? |

I am starting a new rail build and I am going to be needing a lot of parts. I ordered some items from Jbugs about 3 weeks ago. A week later I ordered some more stuff. I received the second shipment but havent heard a word about the first shipment or if it is even shipped yet. I emailed them and asked about it yesterday but still no reply.
Today I called them and they said they are waiting for one of the parts to come from the manufacturer. No problem, I understand some things are back ordered, but why could they let me know? They seem to be lacking in the customer service aspect as far as I'm concerned. No "sorry Sir" or anything. the guy on the phone didn't seem to care.
If they don't care about my business, then I will spend my money with someone that does. |

Maybe I lucked out, but I had a good experience ordering a headliner, pad kit, and window gaskets. They answered the phone, gave me an accurate shipping estimate, sent me tracking info, and the stuff was here in a week. Can't really complain about THAT!
I'll definitely give them another order.

Have to chime in....
I bought a new speedo cable for my 67 splittie a couple weeks ago, took almost two weeks to get from their place in Oceanside to Spring Valley (San Diego suburb), which is a 30-40 min drive. I also had to send 2-3 emails asking about shipping status, and then got a shipping code that said it was shipped, but it was not. I ordered parts from Wolfsburg West the day after this order and received them in 2 days.
On the other hand, I drove up there for my next order and the guy at the counter was very polite and helpful. The seatbelts I got look to be very nice quality and have done the job so far.
So far I am seeing that if you order online from them you are going to have issues. If you go in, you actually get good customer service.
My next purchase is a door/window rubber kit, debating between Jbugs and Wolfsburg west. Anyone buy one of these kits from Jbugs? How was the quality? |

| Just stumbled across this thread. I placed an order with Jbugs on Jan 9th. Paid via paypal, confirmed the transaction and just got an email that it has shipped on the 13th. So either the shipping email to me went out late or they took a week to put a flywheel tool and a shift rod bushing in a box and ship it. Good thing I'm not in a hurry or i'd be pissed. |

| Recently dealt with JBugs for the first time and so far, so good. I ordered two front fenders for my '65 Beetle (I know, OG is better. But that's another thread). Before they shipped customer service called just to confirm. The main thing was that he wanted me to understand that shipping was pricey. On the website there is a chart for estimating, but I was indeed a bit leery when I clicked "confirm" without knowing exactly how much I was in for. Anyhow, the guy at JBugs quoted me the shipping rate (less than I expected), and also made sure I knew what to expect from aftermarket fenders. I knew this already (ex: bolt holes may need clearancing, remove black coating, etc.) but it was nice to have someone call. Also, he seemed to be an actual VW guy and not some call center functionary. Fenders took less than a week to get here, and I was actually surprised at the quality. Not OG for sure, but better than some of the other aftermarket crap I've gotten. By the way, these were advertised as Brazilian, but are labeled "Rhibo" and "Maxicar" which makes them Italian (correct me if I'm wrong). They do seem a little thicker, and better finished than some of the others. Will take a little tweaking, but they were the least inexpensive, both for the fenders and for shipping. No regrets at all. |

Looking around for a fender , bumper and etc. for my 65 beetle that recently got wrecked . Seems everyone was waiting on a fender shipment on most online sites , So I went to Jbugs with the order . Buyers remorse doesn't come close to what I feel .
I ordered 630.00 worth of parts on Thursday 28th , They confirmed the order and billed my card on Friday morning . The shipping was reasonable for the parts but they didn't apply the 5% discount and as I checked my statement they charged 65.00 additional to my card separately .
Called Saturday Morning and questioned sales person about the discount and mysterious second charge . He said they forgot to apply the discount and could not explain the 65.00 charge but would be happy to credit my card back for the above .
Called them today Tuesday and asked if the parts had shipped . Response was " No we are waiting on the fender " . @#$^ !!!! I went with these guys cause they had the fender !!! I asked by phone before I placed the order if they had them !!! Anyhow , Spoke to the head guy there about the situation and he couldn't explain the extra charge but was making sure it wouldn't happen again . You bet your arse it wont happen again !!! I wont buy another stinkin thing from these guys again . They finally sent me a tracking numbers for my parts this evening . No apologies , No explanation and no follow up customer service . ARGHH !!! Can't wait till my stuff gets here !!! Well .... we'll see .

I bought a carpet set for my 79 bus and needed to return it because my kid didn't like it. Because it was a Christmas gift, we went over the ridiculous 30 day return policy any they would only give me store credit. Well, it's been three months now and I still don't have my store credit and they won't return my money. I get email responses that they sent me emails with the details, but I never get them. In the mean time, I find that their prices for parts is disgustingly high. Like 200% over what I can get parts for elsewhere.
NEVER BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!! |

| THERE SHIPPING TIMES SUCK, THERE SLOW AND YOU HAVE TO CALL, to find out where your parts are im spoiled by WW if all VW suppliers were like Wolfsberg west the VW world would be a better place, there was a reason i stopped using Jbugs 2 yrs ago but needed white door panels and they had them on the shelf but they never ship when they say they do,,,now i know why i stopped using them! |

I have placed numerous orders with JBUGS. I have never had any problems, there have been a few times that I was missing parts and they promptly sent them to me.
I live in Alaska, so I would not know about the walk in service. |

Just received my complete TMI interior order for my '58 (seat upholstery, door cards, padding, carpet, headliner).
I thought the price was excellent and knew there would be some lag time for the seat upholstery and door cards to be stitched up. Looks excellent, top notch (brick red w/charcoal tweed inserts).
Very happy with the entire kit. |
