What did the factory use back in the 50's to paint engine tin?
Was all the tin painted the same? I see people doing different kind of treatments to their engine sheet metal, but I wonder how they did it back then?

Paint? I believe engine tin was and always was, factory, black.

LOL... Assuming it was black, of course

Powder-coating, high-temp or...?

It's painted. Just normal paint.

Hi Volks,
80% gloss black is what we have done in powder coating to match the factory normal wet paint.

I use Tremclad Brand Flat Black for my tin.
