Shepherdstown WV.

I've got the '73 high-top. Less than a 1/4 mile from me is a '70 bay that a professor at the college drives. There is a '74 blue and white westy. And my old landlord has 4 or 5 bays. I saw a double (maybe single)-cab in passing last year that someone was working on. Unfortunately I didn't have time to talk.

There are also 3 beetles in town. It's a small town, so it's kinda cool to have all these air-cooled VWs here.

In the county we have a small AC/VW club. All sorts.

Good times.

Hey im new to the Aircooled Bay Window Bus world...lol Winston Salem NC, i just got a '71 Westy and i cant wait to take it out on the road......ive been reading up on do's and dont's any advise on my new purchased?

Enjoy it!! A westy is something you enjoy, not polish or baby. Use it, go slow, see the scenery, visit friends, sleep in it, cook in it, listen to the radio, stop in the mountains and brew a cup of tea while its snowing, make love, drink beer, pick up hitchikers, stop to fix someones flat.
.... sigh. Need I say more.

So is the map officially dead? Link is not linking...
I'm still outside Schenectady, NY, but trying to get around the northeast for a few more weeks.
My 77 is now all nice on the outside (and where the creeping crud gets inside...aka outriggers etc). Added some emerald pearl to, basically stock color...Next is some engine work, but I think I'll get a few more camping trips in for this year!

Count me in, Dobson, N.C. On my third bay, a 72 weekender, needs a little TLC. Hope to be on the road soon.
