Is that thing front wheel drive or something? What's with the traction tires on the front and the slicks on the rear?
Same reason you have them. Pretty standard to have 7.00x15 in the front and 30x9.50r15 in the rear. I was looking for Yokohamas, but they only make a limited run now a days, and are well over $100.
Sammypsyhco, thanks for the compliment, I think. Where my fenders usually rub is on the lip of the fender and the rear of the left fender. Later, Mitch. |

It just looked like your rear tires were the same size or smaller than the front. Guess its the angle of the picture. No offense ment.
Looking at my pic I guess its the same. Those rear tires are 31x10.50. but they almost look smaller than the front in that pic. |

In this pic I was running 235/75r15 front and rear. The fronts look smaller than the rear. I really liked them, but I always wanted the 7.00x15. And no offense taken, later, Mitch. |

Do you only have the 3 inch spindles and a crankened up rear, and that is it!!??? Your bug is awesome, by the way. |

Kustom1warehouse.net now makes a disc brake and drum brake raised spindle. They are tig weld. They are for ball joint VW Volkswagen bug front beams. This car only has raised spindles. No lift kit. You could still add a 3 inch raised beam.

what is a raised beam?
my car has 3 in spindles, cut and turned beam, 2 notches out back, and a three in body lift, rolling 235/75's but that red car looks so much bigger for some reason
and yes this is a really old post back in 2005
but for who ever is interested the front fender rubs the big tires even with lift spindles. it rubs in the rear when you put some load on the front tires and turn. (hit brakes) |
