cb all the way bro........

I used CB's. they are good quality forged pieces, well worth the money. I know that AirKewld is making their own design of spindles as well. Those are two well known and good quality makers of VW stuff.. check 'em out!

That stuff is what your brakes aer connected to man. Wait it out, work wil pick up and you'll be able to get the better stuff. Don't go cheap, or you'll kick yourself down the road. Just try to be patient..

The CB's are popular and have been around awhile. I have a set of these as well as CB's. I actually like them better. Free shipping also.

ok i am very confused with all the terms you guys are using. but anyways. this is my old bug. i dont have it anymore. but plan on buying another one.

you guys are all talkingabout drop spindles and narrowed beams and adjusters.

when i got this bug it say up pretty high. stock height im sure. and then i found out it had adjusters on it. so i lossend the bolts and let it slam down. then tightened them back up.

now what are you guys sayin to narrow the beam for and why would we have to buy spindles if i can get this low just by loosing some adjusters? please explain cuz i am very confused. thank you

63aircooled Tue Apr 08, 2008 7:15 pm

they ad 2.5 inches of drop while keeping stock suspension handling i guess. you just dont compress the torsion bars.

kennymo Tue Apr 08, 2008 7:28 pm

so i dont need them? it just keeps the ride quality better than it would with me using only the adjusters? and what is the point of narrowing the beam? do i need to?

kennymo Tue Apr 08, 2008 8:13 pm

i did read the thread. and i was very confused. i dont know what half of these things are. what is a kingpin? and what is a panhead.

iheart77 Tue Apr 08, 2008 9:54 pm

narrowing the beam helps compensate the rubbing you would get if you were to use drop spindles, they kick your tire out like half an inch. It also sucks your tire in for a differnt look, the more you narrow the more modified you have to go with shock towers and all that. you probably should run smaller tires also, its all really to stop the rubbing you get from when you lower the car. you can run just an adjustable beam but It may push your tires forward with drop spindles should help. THats just my two cents sorry if im wrong correct me on anything. hope this help!
