No its an oval...and it all that red blood?
I hope not, but yet again it doesn't look like a red interior... That's one hell of a way to go.
Yeah, to go out in a wave of stupidity has to suck big time.... |

Not that I care about some POS bay, but what was the purpose of that?
My guess....publicity.
As I recall, the Bus Boys did this with a splitty many years back. It was a brown panel, I think.
I think you're right... it was at a VW event in California somewhere, saw a pic in Hot VWs mag not too long ago, somewhere around mid'80s or so. Awesome. Lol.
EDIT: Didn't notice the photos from the magazine had already been posted in the thread... |

Maybe she lost her brakes and was trying to avoid hitting other cars? Only playing devil's advocate, based on the info in the news article. |

Entirely possible. My sense of humor is oftentimes a little too dark. Apologies to those offended. |

Lol, no worries, it could go either way in a thread like this. Driver could have very well been texting or talking on the phone or who knows what. |

A local San Juan Woman was fatally injured Friday morning when the car she was driving was struck by a 10 yard dump truck.
According to two witnesses who were waiting at the stop sign on Egg lake road, the subject car drove up behind them, and then instead of stopping, it passed their vehicle on the left, and without stopping or slowing down it swung south onto Beaverton Valley, directly into the path of an oncoming dump truck.
A witness driving behind the dump truck said that he saw the truck bounce up, then sparks showered out from under the truck just prior to the ejection of the car from under the truck. He stated the car spun around and then came to rest beside the road. The drivers of all of the vehicles quickly rushed to the woman's aid, but found there was nothing that could be done to help her.
Emergency workers and the Sheriff's office have blocked off access to the location and are conducting an investigation into the accident. The names of the parties involved have not been officially released at this time.

Looks like that front end is narrowed mighty far inward... can't imagine the car would handle very well for sharp/sudden turns? Is the car rebuildable? |

The crash was a head on collision and happened in 1963 in Palembang, Sumatra, Indonesia.
Kimsicle's grandfather, Kenneth A. Gullion
He sustained a life threatening head gash and nearly bled to death. He had been sitting in the backseat.
The bus was eventually repaired and shipped to the Bay Area and driven again.
Today is the one year anniversary of Kenneth's death. RIP
