Ok, for the past week I have had some starting problems on my car. When I turn the key all lights flash in the car and you can hear a wierd clicking as it turns. After about 3 attempts to start the car it finally turns over, but wait there's more. The car idles at 1000rpm, but when the gas pedal is depressed it does not respond as normal but lags substantially like there is no power. So I turn off the car and restart it...problem solved...until tomorrow morning. This is very strange as I have replaced the battery which I thought was bad, but now the problem persists. :x Anyone have any idea whats going on here? Please advise. Thanks

| we had a similar experience with an '02 beetle car had some hesitation at start up and during acceleration but would work after a fashion. drove it from austin, tx (50 degrees) to Kansas (-11 degress) and shut it off and it never started again. dealer ran the codes and it had a faulty computer. check the codes |
