| Since this was last discussed, has anyone come up with an alternative to the little copper grounding strap that is riveted to the speedo and used to ground the bright light indicator light? I managed to f*ck mine up today. |

This is most definitely the root cause. I'm trying to avoid dropping a couple hundred on a new speedo for the sake of that little copper strip. |

| try brazing or soldering a new piece on or find a local speedo and tach place that maybe able to fix this |
