| Hi, well the subaru 3.3 is installed and new Michelin HydroEdge P215/60R16 have been installed and I was wondering what the opinion is on tire pressure front and rear for this beast. Any thoughts? Thanks! |

| What can the tires take as maximum listed on the tire? You made some great choices but I think the tires was a poor one. |

While interesting wheels are intereting, few folks make an adequate tire for a vanagon/bus and even fewer make one in that size.
The Hydroedge says it is a 94T standard load tire and is supposed to be good to 1477 pounds at 44 psi with a 26" diameter.
Lucas over at GoWesty sells this combo. I would call him. http://www.gowesty.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Scre...heelstires
I have a similar GoWesty package in the 7" x 15" size with Michelin "The One" tires (very similar to hydroedges). Similar weight ratings  , but they have done OK for the past 10-15K miles. Lucas says if you have less sidewall, you have less to flex. Handles and stops well though.
If I had a $500 loose dollars I would buy Agrillis 81s in the 205/65/15 size for my application before they are all gone and I have to get them from Coaker tire. Tough finding something that will actually fit on there correctly, support the weight, and be the right diameter. I am getting my stock 14" wheels powdercoated and ready for the stock tires to go with it. |

| So far, I have no complaints about the handling of this tire, very little sidewall flex, and the noise factor is about the same. We added shims in the rear to bring the back end up a few inches, huge improvement over the stock 14's that had some mushy Big O tires. Why do you think that this tire is a poor choice? GoWesty seems pretty confident about this tire for the westy . . . |

We are happy with the HydroEdge tires on a 15" wheel package from GoWesty. I ran the fronts around 38 and the rears around 42 for a trip from Vancouver, BC, to Grand Canyon.
