In todays ever rising costs , it seems a good idea to barter items rather than sell them .
Advantage is that I wouldn't need to check my bank account and worry whether I could afford it . I could work out the possibility that some of my junk may be worth some of your junk and all that would be involved cost wise would be mailing .
I know there are some barter sales in the classifieds but a separate section would locate all those transactions which involve some sort of swap .
What do you think ?
Maybe not a good idea but put your vote in and let Samba know . |

| You can place you "barter" ad in the classified. Wanted and for sale ads are already in the same place. |

In your for sale ads, you are free to put "or trade".
It is often difficult to work out trades that are satisfactory to both parties through the mail. |

Yes but the point of the topic was that it would be much easier to find them if they had their own section , but it seems from your censorship that you don't wish to know what the members think .
If I am wrong then it should be up to the members to show that .
Or have I broken some rule somewhere ? |

You could use the Trades section.

You gotta be joking .
Moving my thread to another site without telling me is , imo a form of censorship .
You have put it into a forum where few and far between members bother to look .
Look at the list .\, 10 , 6 , 3 opinions on a thread .
I put the question in the Vanagon section because that is a forum of people who I "know" and whose opinion I would like to obtain .
You have negated that arbitrarily without the opportunity of debate .
That , my friend , smacks of censorship . |

If you want to Trade, use the Trades section.
If you want to place a wanted ad for parts, use the appropriate section in the Classifieds. |
