I read somewhere the other day that if you own a Beetle Convertible, you should check real regularly for moisture under your carpet. I think the article may have even mentioned pulling the carpet up to check for moisture. My carpet is glued to the floor and I would not be able to pull it up to check for moisture. What could the article have been talking about?
Thanks,
Ron

It could have been talking about cars whose carpets are not glued to the floor, or cars which have mats instead of carpet.

You could use an electronic moisture meter without damaging anything, I would think.

Moisture meters usually have probes that you stick into the material you are checking out. If the probes hit steel they will give you false reading, so when you poke em thru the carpet into the steel pan you might not really have a wet floor.

Test the carpet without going thu, then test what you have under the carpet carefully.
