I dub thee "THE HIPPIE HEARSE" What a way to go!!! I would have guessed it had to be out of San Fransisco...plate suggests otherwise.

By the plates, it's from Italy, Province of Piacenza (PC). But they had hippies in Italy, too.

Quote: I made the manifolds as tall as possible, that is why I elected to have the right side go over the top
The axis of the center thingy is at an angle, but the angle does seem to better match the angle the cable comes through, and make the links closer to parallel, so it works out
The links are steel pushrods, the center pivot is a bicycle hub
The cable pulley should prevent the cable breaking next to the clamp, which can be a problem otherwise with an arm rather than pulley, I tried to make a pulley myself but failed :? , so I just cut a slice of idler pulley

I respect your attempt, but it does deserve to be here. :o :)

Merlin,

What is that out of? Never seen a shroud that tall. Of course, I've only had bugs.

It's from a thread about Kadron linkages in the Tech' section.

I didn't hang around long enough to get the full story on the odd shroud modification.

I think it's just a severely hacked late 1600 doghouse shroud...missing it's curved sides gives it the illusion of being taller...probably cut to get easier access to carbs and whatnot...

OK, not a Dub, but at a show. I can't believe someone hacked a perfectly good Radio Flyer.

It really is cool though.

Nice intakes, those'll be good for torque right? maybe the bumpiness will have a golfball effect to the air flow

That's a custom touch. Costs big money.

jwaj2002 Sat Feb 11, 2012 6:36 pm

I don't get it, You go through that much work to do a "custom" paint job, and all those body mods and you don't even paint the jambs, or even try to cover over spray. The white base coat in the center of the hood is called lazy, along with the over spray of the purple. The red... wow

"43. Custom paint, two tones with highlights.

a. Custom musical notes emanate from a vortex on the hood, travel down the car and occasionally strike the lifter blue swirl.

b. Two purple ghost colors highlight the blue

c. Two orange and yellow ghost colors highlight the yellow

d. Hidden ghosted figures on the car

e. Over 20 coats of paint and clear, ZERO orange peel

f. Graphics travel through all jambs, into the interior. "

if the interior isn't inside. I feel bad because that guy paid a shit load for the paint job *(or did it himself) and it will turn most people away from the car. My first thought was "damn, I would have to repaint that"
