| The two front lapbelts in my 64 sedan appear grey, and I believe they are original from the dealer. Did they ever come original in blue? At first I thought they started as blue but faded grey. :? |

What kind of belts are they? I think the dealers had different types to install.
The belts I have in my 62 are german, the same ones as shown here in this pic from the 1/63 owner's manual:
and they are gray, but have no real latches, they "fold" together. Mine are getting very worn out, I swapped the front ones to the back years ago so now they are all getting bad. The plastic adjustment retaining clip for the strap had "AUTOFLÜG" (I think) written on them, which are all just about busted off on my car. I'd like to get replacements the same as these, but have never seen another set.

Just to resurrect this thread...
As it turns out, the seat belts were blue at some point, and just faded grey over time. I only noticed when I found a flap of webbing peeled back and it was very blue underneath. |
