The B.O. guys have been around for a while here (private auctioneers). But the more elusive fellows I brought up earlier literally put OBO on a sign that has no dollar figure. CL is good for that lately, too. I'll call on a B.O. car long before I'll cater to the ignorance of someone who requests "Or-Best-Offer" next to an absent dollar figure.

Buying stuff here is getting so wrought with idiots- it's a wonder I have the energy with which to flip. Sean, James, and Lind are all giving me nosebleeds!

but it comes with a couple bottles of booze to help kill the pain. :P

(The cabinets do look nice. I think I am jealous... mine are all ratty.) (At least I think they do... the pics are a bit fuzzy)

Is it just me that cringes when I think of drinking out of an aluminum cup?? It reminds me of chewing on a foil gum wrapper. Maybe I'm just weird.

That does seem very much over-priced for the lack of detailing.

It looks fairly decent but no wood panels up front is kinda a bummer. Maybe that pic is odd but the table looks like a bay westy table.

Compared to Kroesens old flipseat, this ones WAY overpriced.

A little cleaning with a rag goes a long way.

Yeah, cleaning, proper air cleaner, distributor, carb, and some engine lid seals would really help here. Still not $39.5K, but at least put some effort in at that price.

The pictures in that ad give off the impression that they started stripping it, saw what some other logo'd buses were going for and they thought to themselves "Oh shit! We can sell this thing and make some money! Here, grab the spray paint!"

It would be fairly meaningless if it is the ONLY one he has ever see too.

rockettdoggie Sat Oct 04, 2008 10:02 am

That is the perfect molester or kidnap van with the door in the divider.

Don't worry....It has not sold yet! I have installed correct deluxe bumpers, cargo door handles, front window latches, and a bunch of other small shit that did not come with it. You know what i paid for the bumpers as they came off of your 67 camper you bought.

Regarding my SO34;
Look, if you need the dust wiped off to buy a car............you dont know enough.

You patina posers should love the original paint engine compartment.....and original paint in all the jambs etc etc.. I do have the original air cleaner all restored and it is included...but it sucks compared to the K&N Im using. The original distributor doesnt have enough total advance to get the power out of this engine. I do have one. I do have the the wood front door panels made by the jealous Clara :) , but the grays were available and I like the look. I figured i would put the wood ones on when they went bad. The table is the original early shape SO34 table..

The thing about this bus is that it hasnt been hit hard or have a bunch of rust or trashy welding on it. Look what rusty westys are going for and then add the 20,000 dollar body and paint repairs if the right people do it. Almost every SO westy and every SO34 except the South African RHD for sale on this site in the last 3 years has been rusty or was repaired.. Im amazed at what people are asking for rusty junk or SO34 shells. I see the pic, read the ad, and then go to the end where the list of rusty body panels resides......and they want $25,000!. There hasnt been a fairly complete SO34 for sale that was close to this one in years!

If you want to make it perfect and have the knowledge just get your checkbook out. If you drove this bus into our shop and had us perform all the mechanicals listed plus the price of premium german parts then $10,000 is darn close.

As far as the price goes , its a starting point, or a trading point but it does say make offer .....so make one....but you cant...and thats what this lame ass thread is really about and why I dont usually post to it.

I dont drive this bus enough and it always gets left out of my rotation so I am offering it up as a trade for something I will drive more. Im also keeping the euro exchange rate in mind as I dont want some euro to steal it. I have had several offers all around 30,000 and some cool trade offers...Have a nice day
