I sold a '62 panel that looked like that a month or two ago for $1500. There were four people that wanted it - all from California.

I cleaned it out and had a shop monkey spend the afternoon washing it before taking pictures for the ad.

I think that bus being near where more enthusiasts are located and being a bullet bus and a swivel seat he's probably not too far off the mark price wise.

The seller might need to clean it out and wash it and get it ready to move though.

The real trick would be for EasyE to talk to John Pickens about some potential leads for a swivel seat (or maybe someone like Brendan or Lind might have one stashed) or possibly borrowing one to fab a seat and base.

Take that crap to ebay

Special application and couldn't base a price off what's listed currently on samba so I'm taking offers above $200.

I'll clean the swivel out some... probably Friday.

Price is "OBO"
It won't fold in half, but your momma will (doh, did I just say that out loud?)... and I'll get a couple more underside pics.

Ronnie has looked into what it takes to make a seat & also to convert a bay seat... big job. Finding / making a seat is going to be part of the fun (for the next guy).

It only takes the courage from one bold individual to step out from the darkness and make it so!

I sure hope Rockin Robin doesn't quit her day job (wearing a bird suit and selling hamburgers with bottomless fries). The only thing rare about that scrap metal is the buyer for it.

notchboy Wed Feb 10, 2016 9:36 pm

Ha! That would make an awesome caption for the ad - "Rare buyer needed for this square tube turd!"

"I think its from a bus" I love that. I know it's from a bus. And I know it's not worth 125 bucks.

Jersey Look aficionados are NOT opening their wallets wide for the cool accessories. I think $25 would be about the going rate. Better if you had a matched pair. It would look great with the right wheels.

On the plus side, looks like your buddy can can hook up a beetle tow bar to that bumper, when your motor flails.

His estimation of condition seems dubious at best.

Condition 4 - Fair - Runs and drives OK but needs work throughout the vehicle. Body shows signs of wear or previous restoration work. Any rust should be minimal and not in any structural areas. Cosmetics, body, and mechanics all need work to some degree.
